The National Institute of Biomedical Research (INRB) indicated in its daily bulletin published Tuesday, February 2, 2021, that the country has recorded 201 new cases tested positive for coronavirus since Monday. The DRC has thus crossed the 23,000 case threshold and now counts 23,043 infected, including 23,042…

The new cases were recorded in cities such as Kinshasa with 154 new infections, 21 in Haut-Katanga, 13 in South Kivu, 7 in Kongo Central, 5 in North Kivu, and 1 in Tanganyika.
On the other hand, there were 17 new people discharged healed from the CTCo facilities and among those being followed at home, there are 9 in North Kivu and 8 in Kinshasa. The DRC has recorded a total of 15,050 people already healed and 675 deaths, including 674 confirmed cases, after 3 new deaths from confirmed cases in Kinshasa.
22 provinces out of the 26 that the DRC has are already affected:
• Kinshasa: 18,206 cases;
• Kongo Central: 1,412 cases;
• North Kivu: 1,326 cases;
• Haut-Katanga: 793 cases;
• South Kivu: 539 cases;
• Ituri: 224 cases;
• Lualaba: 176 cases;
• Tshopo: 102 cases;
• Haut-Uélé: 94 cases;
• Equateur: 48 cases;
• Nord-Ubangi: 40 cases;
• Maniema: 19 cases;
• Kasaï Central: 17 cases;
• Kasaï Oriental: 9 cases;
• Kwilu: 9 cases;
• Sud-Ubangi: 7 cases;
• Tanganyika: 7 cases;
• Bas-Uélé: 6 cases;
• Kwango: 4 cases;
• Kasaï: 2 cases;
• Tshuapa: 2 cases;
• Haut-Lomami: 1 case.
