Tunisia – Angola and Congo-Brazzaville – Cameroon will face off in the semi-finals of the women's Africa Cup of Nations handball tournament on June 16, 2021 in Yaoundé. The Congolese surprised the Senegalese 21-20 while the Cameroonese crushed the Nigerians 44-14. The semi-finalists secured their qualification for the 2021 World Championship scheduled for December in Spain.

We now know the four African representatives for the next women's world handball championship, scheduled for December 2-19, 2021 in Spain. These are Angola, Congo-Brazzaville, Tunisia, and Cameroon.
These are the four semi-finalists of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations organized in Yaoundé from June 8-18, 2021. The matchups scheduled for June 16 are Tunisia – Angola and Congo-Brazzaville – Cameroon.
The presence of Congo-Brazzaville in the last four of this Africa Cup of Nations and at the 2021 World Championship is the main surprise, as this team has done little to shine in recent years. The Congolese knocked out the Senegalese 21-20 following a thrilling quarter-final. Senegal had reached the final of the previous edition.
There was no suspense, however, between the Cameroonese and the Nigerians. The Lionesses crushed the West African team 44-14.
The other semi-final of this 2021 Africa Cup of Nations looks like a final before its time. The Angolans have won 13 of the previous 23 editions. And they have lost their title only once since 1998. That was in 2014 to the Tunisiennes.
The Tunisiennes who had to work to eliminate the Guineans (27-20) in the quarter-finals. As for the Angolans, they controlled their match against the DR Congo (29-20).
