Avance Media, une société de relations publiques et de relations presse de premier plan en Afrique a annoncé sa liste inaugurale des 100 femmes africaines les plus influentes, mettant en vedette des femmes distinguées dont les travaux et les réalisations continuent d’inspirer la prochaine génération de femmes en Afrique. La chanteuse et personnalité burundaise Khaja Nin figure sur la liste.
S’exprimant au sujet de la liste, le prince Akpah, directeur général d’Avance Media, indique que les 100 femmes originaires de 35 pays africains représentées sur cette liste contribuent à changer le récit sur la femme africaine et remettent en question le statu quo des femmes sur le continent.
Certaines des personnes honorées ont exprimé le souhait de proposer des opportunités de mentorat à de jeunes femmes de tout le continent par le biais du programme de mentorat ‘’Be a Girl’’ qui est lancé pour renforcer l’impact de la publication.
